Enjoy the Mtb routes in Benissa, where you will discover rural landscapes with much to tell you.
Benissa invites you to ride your bike and discover your route on a mountain bike.
The two mountain bike routes in Benissa that we recommend have their starting point in the same town, then go through and discover the Vall de Pop.
(Starting point Benissa)
One of the most very wanted routes for bikers around the world is to climb the Bèrnia Mountains, either to train for its winding curves or for the mere pleasure of enjoying the landscape and its views.
During the month of February you can enjoy the almond trees in bloom, an exceptional landscape in an unrivalled environment.
It is undoubtedly the star route of Benissa. You can be sure that if you do not do it at some time, you will not be able to say that you know the Vall de Pop and the mountains of the Marina. Its relationship with the sea, the roads that take us to Marnes, the vigorous silhouette of Bernia, the riuraus, the Maserof and the arrival to Parcent by the Barranc Negre are places that leave no one indifferent. The route offers the views over the most beautiful coastal area of the Valencian Community, from the Montgó to the rock Peñón de Ifach, forming a rosary of coves and cliffs in the first part of the route and then, in the inland, the vineyards and dry stone walls, being one of the most authentic landscapes that still remain intact in the Valencian lands.
The Ruta de Moscatell or Muscat route aims to show the vineyards, being the production of Muscat grapes one of the most important for the production of sweet wine. It links Benissa with the Vall de Pop along agricultural tracks, away from the main road and it is ideal to complete the previous route coming back to Benissa. In this easy itinerary with little slope, we visit the towns of Xaló, Senija and Lliber.
The MTB Centre of the Vall de Pop is located in the Alicante town of Parcent. La Vall de Pop is a valley surrounded by the mountains of the Marina, a place where history and nature have come together to create a landscape with its own personality. From the Vall de Pop MTB Centre in Parcent, we can enter a world of sensations by bike, where the mountains of Serrella, Aixortà, Bérnia, Cavall Vert and Carrascar enclose villages, farmhouses and old Moorish villages, which together with vineyards and almond trees maintain live the culture of dry stone as centuries ago.
The MTB Centre of the Vall de Pop offers the possibility of ten routes with different difficulty and 276 km in all, starting from different sites: Dénia, Castell de Castells, Benissa and Calpe.
