Pedramala Hermitage

Dedicated to Saint Vincent Ferrer

Getting there:

Take the La Fustera road from Benissa towards Calpe until you reach a crossing with a signpost to Pedramala on the right. From there you will find the “Ermita de Pedramala" on your left after approximately 400 metres.

Description:

This 19th-century hermitage is a whitewashed building with a small bell tower, and its most outstanding feature is its great views. It has a large square with a gigantic pine tree and a cross. The road to the hermitage also leads to this rural area’s former school.

Pedramala, located at 245 metres above sea level, is a privileged scenic outlook with views stretching from Calpe rock to Puig Llorença, with the sinuous coast that runs along Calpe, Benissa and Moraira in the centre.

If you visit this hermitage in the morning, you will see the visible face of Calpe rock directly lit by sunlight, which highlights its beauty even further.

Festivities:

Its festivities are held in mid-July, and the main events include popular dinners, the “entrá de la Murta”, musical performances, a mass, and fireworks.
